Case study: Medium-sized Not-For-Profit

Situation

With the arrival of an experienced digital manager to drive the digital transformation program, it was soon evident that the organisation required strategic advice in order to deliver outcomes better with new and existing technologies.

Request

Generative Solutions were asked to provide clarity on what is and what should be in relation to technology across the organisation.

Solution

We undertook a Generative Action Plan (GAP), using our Capability GAP framework which assesses current problems and opportunities where technology can be leveraged, in the context of people, process and technology.

The GAP report outlined:

  1. Current problems and opportunities
  2. Current and Future state application maps
  3. Areas of strategic focus
  4. Prioritised quick wins

Immediately following this project we continued to support the organisation by producing:

  • Reports into core customer and operational data
  • A data layer to support reporting and processes
  • Strategic advice on business technology

Result

9 months since we initially engaged, the organisation is fully engaged in becoming a digital workplace with an increasingly data-centric culture and the ability to take on ambitious projects that increase customer engagement.
